From there, you will continue to the legendary Serengeti National Park, home to vast plains, incredible predator sightings, and the world-famous wildebeest migration.
The journey then leads to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder and one of the best places in Africa to view wildlife, with one of the highest concentrations of animals on the continent.

Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport → Arusha / Moshi
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Chaga Adventures. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, where you can relax after your journey and prepare for the adventure ahead.
In the evening, your safari guide will meet you for a detailed briefing about your upcoming trip. This includes an overview of the safari route, safety information, and important travel tips. Your guide will also check your gear and answer any questions to ensure you are fully prepared.
Spend the rest of the evening at leisure, enjoying the comfort of your hotel and the anticipation of the safari experience that lies ahead.

Day 2: Arusha / Moshi → Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a beautiful park known for its impressive elephant population and iconic baobab trees. The drive offers scenic views of rural Tanzania, giving you a glimpse into local life along the way.
Upon entering the park, your first game drive begins. Tarangire is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. The Tarangire River acts as a vital water source, attracting large numbers of animals, especially during the dry season.
You will enjoy a full afternoon game drive, stopping at key viewpoints and wildlife hotspots. Your guide will provide insights into animal behavior, ecosystems, and conservation efforts.
In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and head to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire → Serengeti National Park (En Route Game Drive)
After an early breakfast, begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. The drive takes you through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands, offering stunning views and opportunities for wildlife sightings along the way.
As you enter the Serengeti, your adventure continues with a game drive en route to your camp. The vast open plains are home to large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and their predators, including lions and cheetahs.
The Serengeti’s endless horizons and rich biodiversity make it one of the most spectacular safari locations on earth. Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the Great Wildebeest Migration as herds move across the plains in search of fresh grazing.
Arrive at your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the vast landscapes of the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Your experienced guide will take you to different areas of the park depending on wildlife movement, increasing your chances of encountering incredible sightings.
This is one of the best opportunities to spot the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros. The Serengeti is also known for its high density of predators, including cheetahs and hyenas, making for dramatic wildlife encounters.
If your travel dates align with the migration season, you may witness large herds of wildebeest and zebras crossing rivers or grazing across the plains. Your guide will ensure you are in the right place at the right time to maximize your experience.
Return to your camp in the evening, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and reflect on the day’s unforgettable sightings.

Day 5: Another Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Today offers another full day to explore Serengeti National Park, allowing you to visit different regions of the park for a more complete safari experience.
Early morning and late afternoon game drives are the best times to observe active wildlife, as animals are most active during the cooler hours. You may witness predators on the hunt or large herds gathering around water sources.
Your guide will continue tracking wildlife movement to ensure you experience the best possible sightings. This extra day in the Serengeti significantly increases your chances of witnessing rare and memorable wildlife encounters.
Return to your camp for another relaxing evening under the African sky.

Day 6: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The journey itself is part of the adventure, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way and admire the changing landscapes as you ascend toward the highlands. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge located near the crater rim.
Take time to relax, enjoy the cool climate, and prepare for the next day’s descent into one of the most unique wildlife ecosystems in the world.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive → Return to Arusha / Moshi
After an early breakfast, descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is often referred to as the “Eden of Africa” due to its dense wildlife population and stunning scenery.
The crater floor is home to a wide range of animals, including elephants, lions, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhinoceros. The compact nature of the crater makes it one of the best places in Africa to spot wildlife in a single day.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater while surrounded by incredible scenery. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and begin your journey back to Arusha or Moshi.

Day 8: Departure from Kilimanjaro International Airport
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight, bringing your unforgettable safari adventure to a close.
